WIEX collects certain Personal Data about You and Your use of the Services. This information falls into three primary categories:

(c) Transactions data: information about the transactions you make using the Services, such as the name of the Cryptocurrency, the amount, and/or timestamp.

This information is collected automatically by virtue of You accessing and/or using the Website and/or the Services and helps Us to improve the Website and Services, address any customer support issues, provide You with a streamlined and personalized experience, and protect You from fraud by detecting unauthorized access. (a) Identifiers: geolocation/tracking details, operating system, browser type, and/or personal IP addresses.

(b) Blockchain data: information to ensure that persons using the Services are not engaged in any illegal or prohibited activities and to analyze transaction patterns for analysis and development purposes.
(c) Marketing partners & resellers: information to better understand which of the Services may be of interest to You.

WIEX may Process Personal Data for the following purposes:
(a) Compliance with legal obligations.
WIEX needs to Process Personal Data in order to comply with relevant applicable laws, such as anti-money laundering and privacy laws. For example, We Process Personal Data to identify and verify Users using the Services to manage risk as required under applicable law. We also Process Personal Data in order to help detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud and abuse of the Services and to protect You against account compromise or funds loss. If you do not provide the Personal Data required by law, We cannot provide You with the Services.
(b) To provide the Services.
WIEX Processes Personal Data to provide the Services. As WIEX handles sensitive data, such as Your identification and financial data, it is very important to actively monitor, investigate, prevent, and mitigate any potentially prohibited or illegal activities, enforce Our agreements with third parties, and/or prevent and detect violations of our Terms of Service. We collect information about Your usage of and closely monitor Your interactions with the Services. Third parties that We use such as for identity verification services and/or fraud prevention services may also access and/or collect Personal Data when providing the services. The consequence of not Processing Personal Data for such purposes is the termination of Your account.
(c) To provide communications and support services.

These parties have been rigorously assessed and offer a guarantee of compliance with the legislation on the Processing of Personal Data. These parties have been designated as Data Processors and carry out their activities according to the instructions given by us and under our control. Such third parties include providers of support services such as secure website hosting, cloud storage, information technology maintenance, network infrastructure, payment processing, security, fraud detections, elements of KYC and KYT processes, customer support, and analytics.
(c) WIEX may be required to share Personal Data with various financial institutions and/or enforcement or court authorities to comply with applicable laws, prevent fraud, enforce an agreement we have with you, or protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others.
(d) WIEX may also disclose Personal Data to third parties:
• if You request or authorize it;
• to address emergencies or acts of God;
• in the process of provision of banking, legal, compliance, and other consulting services by professional advisors in order to complete required legal audits of our operations, or otherwise comply with our legal obligations;

The Personal Data retention period will vary. The retention period will be determined by the following criteria:
(a) the business purpose for which We are using Personal Data – We will need to keep the information for as long as is necessary for that purpose; and
(b) legal obligations – laws or regulations may set a minimum period for which We have to keep Personal Data.
